We create our own circumstances

Posted in Uncategorized by K P Ramachandran on August 7, 2013

Bernard Shaw once said, ” People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and they can’t find them, they make them”. This is very true. Earl Nightingale wrote in his book ” The Strangest Secret ” that a person who has no goal, who doesn’t know where he is going, and whose thoughts must therefore be thoughts of confusion, anxiety and worry – his life also becomes one of frustration, fear, anxiety and worry. He becomes nothing. For example: a farmer has a land. He plants seed of corn on one side and seed of poison on other side. Invariably land will return what was planted. As written in Bible ” As ye sow, so shall ye reap “. Land doesn’t care, it will return two plants, one corn and one poison. Human mind is far more fertile, far more incredible and mysterious than the land, but it works the same way. It doesn’t care what we plant – success or failure. A worthwhile goal or confusion, fear, anxiety and so on. What we plant will come back to us. Human mind contains riches beyond our wildest dreams. It will return anything we want to plant.

So, as Lord Vivekananda told ” create your own circumstance / destiny. “

It is very true. while lazy people go on blaming the circumstances for their failures, successful people convert their failures into success. They consider failures as experiences .
