Use ‘ next time ‘ instead of ‘ if only ‘

In the highly competitive world today depression is a major cause for many diseases. I read an article by a psychologist where he mentions about a youngster who approached him totally depressed. He was in total dismay over his several failures in life. The psychologist showed him recorded version of two/three interviews he had earlier of similar cases and asked him to find out the common word used by all of them. The youth could not find out the word, which was ‘if only’.Doctor told him that this word is the only cause for the dismay he had. Instead of using ‘ if only I could do that or if only I could get that ‘ if we are using ‘ next time I will get that /next time I will do that ‘ most of our disappointments/depression would go. The youth was convinced and understood that there is no point in worrying over the past. Instead he gained confidence in his future. He got self-confidence and his problem was solved.
